The movie version was fun for kids with a bit of adult humor mixed in, but the musical version of Beetlejuice is most definitely not for the younger set. The show follows the same plot as the film, with teenager Lydia Deetz and her “insufferable” parents having just moved into a house that’s haunted by its newly deceased former residents.

Beetlejuice himself is described as “ruder, raunchier and more repellent than ever” in this laugh-out-loud production full of plenty of four-letter words and inappropriate humor, along with some stunning otherworldly stage effects.
